Declaration Cancellation
Cancel Submitted Declaration
[OFFICIAL ADVISORY] Cancellation of a submitted declaration is a formal administrative action subject to the prevailing Refund Policy. Administrative levies may be partially or fully non-refundable depending on the adjudication stage at the time of cancellation. The declarant is strongly advised to review all conditions prior to proceeding.
Cancellation Eligibility
A submitted declaration may be eligible for cancellation under the following conditions:
The declaration has not yet received a favorable determination (APR status) and the credential has not been issued — approved and issued credentials are not eligible for cancellation
The cancellation request is submitted by the original declarant or an authorized representative with valid authentication credentials
The declaration is not currently under active enforcement review or flagged for additional security screening
The declarant acknowledges the applicable refund provisions and accepts any non-refundable administrative charges
Refund Applicability by Cancellation Stage
The refund applicable to a cancellation request is determined by the adjudication stage at the time the request is received:
| Status at Cancellation | Refund Eligibility | Non-Refundable Portion |
|---|---|---|
| RCV — Received | Eligible | Administrative service fee |
| PRV — Preliminary Review | Eligible | Administrative service fee |
| QUE — Queued | Partial eligibility | Service fee + partial processing fee |
| ADJ — Under Adjudication | Generally not eligible | Full fee — service rendered |
| HLD — Info Required | Case-by-case review | Subject to administrative determination |
| APR — Approved | Not eligible | Full fee — credential issued |
| DEN — Denied | Not eligible | Full fee — service rendered |
Full refund provisions are detailed in the Refund Policy.
Cancellation Procedure
The cancellation process follows the administrative protocol outlined below:
Step 1: Authentication
Access the Applicant Login Portal using the assigned reference number and registered email address. Navigate to the cancellation function within the application management interface.
Step 2: Reason Declaration
Select the reason for cancellation from the available administrative categories. Provision of a reason is mandatory for audit and compliance purposes.
Step 3: Acknowledgement
Review the applicable refund provisions displayed on screen. The declarant must formally acknowledge the non-refundable portions before the request is accepted.
Step 4: Confirmation
Upon submission, the declaration status updates to CXL (Cancelled). A confirmation notice is transmitted to the registered email address. Refund processing, if applicable, is initiated within 10–15 business days.
Accepted Cancellation Reasons
The following administrative categories are accepted as reasons for cancellation:
Change in travel plans — the declarant no longer intends to travel to the destination territory within the authorization validity period
Duplicate submission — the declarant has submitted multiple declarations in error and wishes to withdraw the duplicate
Data error in submission — the declaration contains material errors in non-amendable fields requiring a new submission
Passport replacement — the declarant has obtained a new travel document rendering the current declaration invalid
Other administrative reason — any reason not covered by the above categories (details must be provided)
Notice: Cancellation is an irreversible administrative action. Once a cancellation request has been processed and confirmed, the declaration cannot be reinstated. The declarant must submit a new declaration if they wish to obtain an Electronic Travel Authorization following a cancellation. New submissions are subject to the prevailing fee schedule and standard processing timelines.
