Application Tracking

Track Declaration Status

[OFFICIAL ADVISORY] The Status Tracking function enables declarants to ascertain the current adjudication stage of a previously submitted Electronic Travel Authorization declaration. Access requires the unique reference number assigned at submission.

Accessing the Tracking Function

To retrieve the current status of a submitted declaration, the declarant must authenticate using the following credentials:

Application Reference Number — the unique alphanumeric identifier assigned at the time of submission (format: UK-ETA-2026-XXXXXXXX), transmitted via electronic correspondence upon receipt of the declaration

Registered Electronic Mail Address — the email address provided during the submission process, used for authentication and correspondence purposes

The declarant may also access the tracking function via the Portal Authentication, which provides access to the full application management interface.

Adjudication Status Designations

The following status designations may appear during the tracking process. Each designation corresponds to a specific stage in the adjudication lifecycle:

QUE Queued Placed in adjudication queue per selected protocol
ADJ Under Adjudication Active substantive review in progress

APR Approved Favorable determination — credential issued
DEN Denied Unfavorable determination — see correspondence for details
CXL Cancelled Declaration withdrawn at declarant's request
MOD Under Modification Amendment request in progress

Notifications & Correspondence

Automated status notifications are transmitted to the declarant's registered electronic mail address at the following adjudication milestones:

  • Upon receipt and reference number assignment
  • Upon placement in the adjudication queue
  • If additional documentation or clarification is required (HLD status)
  • Upon issuance of the final determination (APR or DEN)
  • Upon credential issuance and transmission (APR only)
  • Upon confirmation of modification or cancellation requests

Notice: If the declarant has not received a confirmation of receipt within 24 hours of submission, it is recommended to verify the registered email address and check spam/junk folders. If the issue persists, submit an inquiry via the Correspondence Portal.
